About Us
Black Historic Impressions (BHI) is an organization dedicated to the
remembrance, appreciation, and exhibition of African American
contributions throughout history. The story of the African American
journey is the foundation for every program and every service we provide.
Every story we remember leaves lasting impressions that give us
inspiration, motivation, and hope. BHI seeks to build knowledge by
teaching nuggets of history from the past that give relevant, valuable
insights for the present and the future. BHI is also devoted to building the
character of young people everywhere by being a bridge between them and
the legacy of responsibility, courage, and heroism left behind.
The owner and sole presenter of BHI is Mr. Anthony Lamar Gibbs. Mr.
Gibbs is an established professional teaching artist who has taught and
presented many history programs and character impressions for students of
all ages. Mr. Gibbs has traveled across the state of Ohio doing various
history programs. He studied at the Ohio State University in the field of
History. The historical perspective he exhibits recognizes the diverse
legacy of all the many cultures wrapped in the history of the United States.
The stories he brings to life are tales of great courage, tireless
determination, and long lasting hope.
